On May 23, 1982, the foundress of the Congregation of Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) was beatified and given the name of Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher, after a lengthy process. On the occasion of the 38th anniversary, a prayer was composed by the Marie-Rose Centre and is accessible here.
Let us remember that the beatification itself constitutes a solemn act on the part of the Catholic Church with the aim of proposing to Christians inspirational persons who were recognized for their Christian life and actions.
Pilgrims can go and gather on the pink marble tomb of Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher, located under the altar, in the right transept of the Saint-Antoine-de-Padoue Co-Cathedral, in Longueuil, Quebec.
