Mission – Values

The mission of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary is inspired by the foundress, Blessed Marie-Rose Durocher and a prophetic word of Jesus:

I have come to cast fire on the earth.

How I wish it were blazing already.

- Luke 12, 49

Social Solidarity

At the heart of our mission, one finds the desire to promote the full development of the human person through a thorough and comprehensive education with a complete curriculum, which includes the arts (singing, music, drawing, painting, etc.), science (botany , chemistry, etc.) as well as home economics.

Today, the SNJM mission revolves around these focal points while integrating the values of social solidarity with impoverished and marginalized people, the promotion of justice and human rights, and protection of the environment.
