Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary

Freeing life through education and the promotion of justice

We are a community of educators, women religious founded by Marie-Rose Durocher in Quebec in 1843. Grounded in our Christian spirituality, we hold the full development of the human person at the very core of our mission. In recent years, the life and mission of our congregation are enriched by lay people inspired by the values and ideals of the Congregation and the person and spirituality of Marie-Rose Durocher.

Acting on the needs of our world today, we join the struggle against human trafficking. We promote access to water, we advocate migrant populations and seek solutions to the immigration crisis.
