It was not until 2007, that I became aware of the SNJM Associates. And soon after, some dear Associate friends invited me to “come and see” what the Associate meetings were all about. I made my Commitment in 2008 and today, I am still an active SNM Associate. When I look back, I realize just how the Spirit can take one by surprise when we least expect it. Today, I am very grateful for this ongoing journey that has been filled with unexpected gifts of grace and direction, always nourishing my relationship with God, people, and nature. I am so grateful for the many opportunities I have received for leadership and service through the Manitoba Leadership team as well as the Congregational Associate Network. The many SNJM Sisters and Associates, whom I have met along the way, continue to inspire me through their wisdom and dedication to justice and service. Truly, becoming an SNJM Associate has been a wonderful gift. This unexpected surprise 16 years ago continues to shape my journey and nourish my soul today.
