In 1951, my family came to Winnipeg from Vancouver and I was introduced to the Sisters of the Holy Names throughout my schooling. I was always drawn to their charism through their encouragement of spiritual development, education and their call to service. I tried to embrace that and make it a part of who I was becoming and who I am today. So, it was that volunteering & service to others in my parish community became important to me. Though life takes its turns and carries us off in more immediate directions at times, it is now, as an Associate, I realize how much of their charism has been an influence throughout much of my life and how it continues to nourish me. It’s an awakening again!
