Pat Murray, IBVM, Director General of the International Union of Superiors General (UISG), will speak on Thursday morning, July 22, at the 35th General Chapter of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM). Her talk on the theme of worldwide sisterhood is part of the process undertaken by the SNJM, which, like other religious institutes, is faced with the challenges of consecrated life and the desire to respond to current needs.
Pat Murray’s speech, presented in virtual mode on the SNJM General Chapter website, will be accessible to all sisters, associates and partners. This is the second special guest of the 35th SNJM General Chapter.
In addition to having worked on building peace in Ireland, Pat Murray also served as the founding director of Solidarity with South Sudan, which fostered the collaboration of dozens of religious orders to rebuild educational, medical, agricultural and pastoral infrastructures in the now independent South Sudan.
