On the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Eulalie
(Mother Marie-Rose) in 2011, the Historical and Cultural Society
of Saint-Antoine-sur-Richelieu completed the installation of a
garden to the burial ground of Eulalie Durocher’s parents,
a place that fosters an atmosphere of reflection in the middle
of the parish cemetery. Mr. Olivier Durocher’s monument
was repatriated, a new tombstone was erected and a commemorative
plaque rendered homage to the Durocher family. Shrubs, flowers
and two benches adorn this 20 by 20 square-foot calming space
open to public.
